The inspiration behind The Spot is Vegan, a talented artist and entrepreneur on the autism spectrum. Like many individuals with disabilities, Vegan faced challenges finding meaningful employment opportunities despite his creativity, skills, and desire to contribute. As a family of entrepreneurs, we decided to create an opportunity rather than wait for one.
Inspired by Vegan’s love of lemonade, we launched The Spot as a family business built on entrepreneurship, inclusion, and community impact.
Today, every cup of lemonade represents more than a refreshing drink. It reflects our belief that individuals with disabilities deserve opportunities to work, contribute, and thrive.
As The Spot grows, our goal is to create additional employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities while continuing to serve exceptional lemonade and memorable customer experiences. When you support The Spot, you’re supporting a family business with a purpose.
The Spot is powered by two crews: our Farmers Market Crew and our Lemonade Van Road Crew. Together, we serve fresh-squeezed lemonade across Houston while creating opportunities, building community, and having fun along the way.

Vegan’s love of lemonade inspired The Spot. An artist, entrepreneur, and animation student, he brings creativity, personality, and fresh ideas to the family business. His entrepreneurial journey continues to inspire our mission of creating opportunities, celebrating abilities, and building community.
The Stylish Lemon Smasher & Mixologist
Affectionately known as “Vegan’s Grandma,” Corlean is a retired fashion designer and entrepreneur who owned a custom clothing boutique in Chicago. She leads The Spot’s Farmers Market Crew, bringing style, warmth, and plenty of personality to every event. Whether smashing lemons or greeting customers, she makes everyone feel like family.
Lemon Smasher & Mixologist
Odette is an entrepreneur, executive advisor, professor, and proud mom. As part of The Spot’s Lemonade Road Crew, she’s behind the fresh-squeezed lemonade, smashing lemons and crafting each batch with care. Whether serving at festivals, private events, or corporate gatherings, she’s committed to delivering great lemonade and even better customer experiences.
The Lemonade Shaker & Road Captain
Brian is a lawyer, executive advisor, and mediator by day—and The Spot’s official lemonade shaker on the weekends. As Road Captain of the Lemonade Van Road Crew, he helps bring The Spot experience to events across Houston and the surrounding areas. After the lemonade is made, Brian takes over as the shaker, serving customers with a smile, a little showmanship, and plenty of enthusiasm.
